Re: How engaged are we?
Sun, September 20, 2009 - 11:53 AMIt looks like a propaganda piece to me. Israeli occupation and settlement
of Palestinian is a clear violation of
international law, for which there should be no "religious" exemption. -

Re: How engaged are we?
Mon, September 21, 2009 - 1:24 PMBut Israel was founded by secularists--so the problem is deeper than religion. I think we can call it ethnic cleansing.

It is a bit of a propaganda piece. It is, however, pro-Palestine. And if you don't see that... you did not watch it.

Re: How engaged are we?
Thu, October 8, 2009 - 3:14 AMWith only six days left to sign or veto legislation, extreme right-wing groups have launched a new round of attacks on legislation to protect LGBT Californians.
Randy Thomasson and his group, Campaign for Children and Families, just sent out an urgent appeal to their members seeking funds to make nearly a quarter million phone calls. In their words, “it’s now or never.”
Call the Governor and urge him to sign the Harvey Milk Day Bill (SB 572, Leno) and the Marriage Recognition and Family Protection Act (SB 54, Leno).

SB 572 would create a day of special recognition for Harvey Milk, a champion of civil rights for all Californians. SB 54 clarifies that same-sex couples married out of state before Prop. 8 are recognized in California, and that couples married after Prop 8 are entitled to all the same rights.
Call the Governor's office now and urge him to sign into law SB 572 and SB 54.
There is no time to waste. -
